CASTING REQUIREMENTS

Please pay close attention to the qualifications required for the positions. Your CV will be evaluated against the specifications indicated.

DANCER QUALIFICATIONS

TYPE 1 - Seeking fiery, bubbly and versatile commercial dancers with stamina, good dance technique, expressive faces, and toned bodies, who can tell stories through dance. Must be able to execute Jazz, funk, and hip-hop proficiently (think MTV Video Music Awards), and have the ability to learn additional styles like Latin-Samba & Broadway. Ideal height range for males is 5’6” – 5’10” (168-178cm). Ideal height range for females is 5’1” – 5’6” (156-168cm). All ethnicities welcome.

TYPE 2 - Seeking fun, exciting and amazing performers who have B-boy or Cheerleading experience. Having parkour or the ability to do stunts or tricks is definitely a bonus. Applicants must have a pleasant disposition and be comfortable connecting with audiences at close proximity. Those with prior training in gymnastics, stunt abilities, hand-to-hand combat training or any other special skills would be an added bonus. All looks and ethnicities are welcome.

All performers must be willing to learn additional roles and will cross over into other shows. In addition to the specific shows, all performers will partake in the daily opening ceremony and weekend street parade in a role to be determined at a later date.

MALE & FEMALE ANIMATED COSTUMED CHARACTER QUALIFICATIONS

Seeking strong, highly motivated performers in great physical shape, strength and with strong stamina. All character performers must be able to bring our animated costumed characters (mascots) to life and tell a story through movement including learning and executing choreographed sequences. Prior dance training & skills in jazz, commercial & hip hop are preferred. Applicants must have a pleasant disposition and be comfortable connecting with audiences at close proximity. Height ranges needed are 5’1” to 5’4” (156 to 162 cm) and 5’7” to 5’9” (170 – 177 cm) Those falling outside these ranges cannot be considered and will be turned away at the audition. All ethnicities welcome.

All performers must be willing to learn additional roles including being trained in stilt-walking and power skips and will cross over into other shows. In addition to the specific shows, all performers will partake in the daily opening ceremony and weekend street parade in a role to be determined at a later date.

SINGER QUALIFICATIONS

MALE & FEMALE SINGERS WHO CAN ACT & LEARN CHOREOGRAPHY

Seeking dynamic singers with a Pop, RnB & Contemporary Musical Theatre sound who can act/speak in easy to understand English. Vocalists must have great range, solid vocal technique, expressive faces, and the ability to riff. All singers must move well and be able to learn basic choreography. Not looking for singers with a purely “classic musical theatre sound” at this time. Hosting and acting skills are a plus. Seeking a variety of heights and ethnicities.

In addition to specific shows, all performers will partake in special & seasonal events and other roles to be determined at a later date. All applicants should be comfortable connecting with an audience at close proximity.

All performers must be willing to learn additional roles and will cross over into other shows.

SHOW HOST QUALIFICATIONS

Type 1 - Seeking pleasant looking male & female actors of various ages with good acting abilities to be able to host some of our very well-known movie themed shows and attractions. All performers must be able to memorize scripts, learn basic choreography and take direction well. They will also need to be able to interact with guests in close proximity, and transform themselves into the scripted characters with ease and be able to stay in those characters whilst out performing. Energetic and lively actors, including those with improvisation skills, comic ability and physical comedy skills are definitely what we are looking for. Performers should be good at verbal and non-verbal communication. All ethnicities welcome.

Type 2 - Seeking male & female actors of all ages, heights, looks and sizes to play a wide range of ages from 20 to 80 and to bring our streets to life. All performers need to also be able to interact with guests in close proximity, transform themselves into various characters with ease and be able to stay in those characters whilst out performing. Improvisation skills, comic ability and physical comedy skills are definitely what we are looking for. Performers should be good at verbal and non-verbal communication. Being able to speak multiple languages, mainly English, along with Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Tamil or any other language is definitely a bonus. Singing, dancing, gymnastics, stunt abilities or hand-to-hand combat training is not necessary, but an added bonus. All ethnicities welcome.
