When you deal with unlicensed recruitment agencies, you face the risk of being identified as an illegal recruiter/employer. More often than not, unlicensed recruitment agencies are simply fronts for racketeers who collect money from hopeful applicants in exchange for job opportunities abroad. Should you be identified with an illegal recruiter, your company will be blacklisted both at the POEA and at the embassy/consulate in the country where the company is located. This would prevent future attempts to recruit from the Philippines.
